Here is a new variety i found about a month ago...Nice for Canada collectors to look for. This new variety is a Scott 746"S ailing Vessels"...it is position 13.
Got an email from Unitrade Catalouge saying they have 6 copies also.
The 5 mast vessel has an extra dot/line in the 2nd mast from the left as shown below. If you have what you think maybe a variety..Post here..I will help with others help.

I am finally getting around to doing something with my stamps I recently bought a bunch of end-year quarterly packs from Canada Post from 2015 to 2020. I bought these mainly for the Christmas die-cuts, and there were a number of others in each pack. One set being the 100th anniversary of the Toronto Maple Leafs. They issued a $5 untagged souvenir sheet (3042), a hockey puck shaped coil (3043) and the "100" (3044) booklet. The Unitrade catalogue mentions that 3044 has "CANADA 150" visible within the tagging. But what do I see on the die-cut variety (3044i)? Lines. No wording at all. Is this the norm with this issue? Just makes me wonder about how many like this were printed. Here's the photo of the stamp in question...
(yes, it is blurry, I can't stay still for any length of time, but it is clearly visible)
I also thought about 3043, the hockey puck stamp. It was issued in coil format. But does the regular coil version have paper extending past the stamp edges? Mine looks like it is die-cut as well, with no border of plain backing paper around the stamp itself. Missed by Unitrade if that's the case.
I wonder what other differences there are out there.

Pete it would be wonderful to transfer your Post in a CANADA thread and have Robert respond to my post etc. - You made a discovery and I want Robert WERT to explain it simply to us as he does so well when he has time......a contributor to our Unitrade !!!!!

Maybe we can get a mod to move this post "lock, stock & barrel" to to the "Canada: Modern" thread.
I just moved the initial post to that thread...
But with the problem solved, I'll delete it over there! No need for it to be there now...

Just now in total darkness I could see something and under the light with magnifying glass, all was clear! I was thinking the lettering would have been in green fluorescent phosphor. Thanks, Robert!

Further to my post on the 100th anniversary of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Number 3043, the hockey puck stamp was issued on a strip of paper backing in that "coil' format, and also die-cut in the quarterly pack. But Unitrade didn't mention this. It should have the "i" number designator for the die-cut version.
Coil pair with backing paper and die-cut from the quarterly pack with no excess backing paper. These really should be numbered 3043 and 3043i.

WERT - I am cleaning up in my stampcave. Finnished working on Canada this spring, so I was thinking about wht to do with the dups archieve. I don't need it. There must a couple of 1000's Canadian stamps in there. It came to me that it might be material for you to look for varieties, freaks etc? If you want it, its yours.
