Apropos of the conversation about meeting up at Stampex in London in September (apologies but I cannot find the thread!) I thought I'd share this Souvenir Sheet from an earlier Stampex.  I found it in a WW mix yesterday.

What goodies will you find at this year's show?

Sadly, it's afflicted with the same 'acid hinge' problem that affected so many stamps in the mix.   There was a space on the sheet to hinge the 'adopted design' stamp which was affixed with an evil 'dark side of the Force' hinge. A mere 64 years later and it's bled through everything. 

Must not have been one of those classic Dennison hinges that are bringing hundreds of dollars at auction today. 

Still, it's an interesting sheet.  I like the contrast between similar designs.  They knew philatelists liked that sort of thing.
