Yvert # 137 Type I (the 'tail' of the Q is a separate ot below the letter in REPUBLIQUE. Perfin is Ancoper E.K.94, Eastman Kpdak - Kodak Pathe, Offices in Pasris and Seine. This from the Paris office (postmark), fairly common- in use from 1907 - 1928
and another, same stamp and Type. This one is Ancoper C.N.297, Comptoir National D'Esmpte, Banking per Wikipedia The Comptoirs d'Escompte or Comptoirs Nationaux d'Escompte, literally "[national] discount counters", were 65 local banks created in a hurry in March 1848 by the government of the Second French Republic to maintain financial stability in the turmoil following the February Revolution. Most of them disappeared when the government withdrew its support in May 1852, except the following:[1] Comptoir d'escompte de Mulhouse (1848-1930), a predecessor entity of BNP Paribas Comptoir National d'Escompte de Paris (1848-1966), another predecessor entity of BNP Paribas Comptoir d'escompte de Rouen [fr] (1848-1935), absorbed in 1935 by the Crédit Industriel et Commercial Which one this is cannot tell, but my guess is Comptoir National d'Escompte de Paris as this perfin was in use from 1903 - 1951. It is relatively common
why this image is so small i have no idea... both scanned at same settings

I've not posted anything in a while, but today I received two very nive Merson perfins from Beryllium Guy along with some wonderful Lundy Puffins (who doesn't like those!?!) Thanks Chris for the pleasant surprise today! First Is 1900 50 centime Merson (and this may be on GC paper) Y&T # 120 (b?) with Ancoper Sigle 17 (translates to 'acronym'...?), belonging to Cycles-Clément & Gladiator, Paris and Seine. 1902 - 1908. The company, started by Adolphe Clement who started with a bicycle repair shop in 1876 in Bordeaux. In 1877 he moved to Lyons and opened up a manufacturing shop under Clément SA Cycles.. In 1878 he moved to Paris where over the next few years would employ ~150 employees, making what was considered at the time as the leading brand of cycles. In 1896 he held the manufacturings rights in France Dunlop .. With the founder of Dunlop Tire, they bought out Gladiator Cycles and expanded into tricycles, quadraciycles and motroised bicycles , and in 1902 cars (Gladiator) and motorcycles.WWI the company shifted to producing small arms for the war. After the war the company was sold in 1922 to Andre Citroën and the Seine facility would budt the CV2for the next 40 years. all images scanned at same resolution.... not sure why the size difference... oh well here's a view from the back- the image was mirrored so it would be in the correct position Next, a 1906 2 Francs Merson Y&T 122, with Ancoper SG 101 belonging to Societe Generale , now a multinational financial servicec company founded in 1864, this perfin used by the Paris and Seine offices (branches) from 1904 - 1954. The company employs 117,000 people worldwide. (and yes I know the stamp itself is upside down )

Stan ( stainlessb), I am so happy that these have arrived in good time, and I hope that they will make nice additions to your specialized collection. I am also glad that you like the bonus materials, which I just added for fun.

Yvert # 117 (1900 - 1902) Rights of Man, Type Mouchon with (per Andover) RF28 Revillon Freres, 79 rue de Rivoli, Paris. A french fur and luxury goods company founded in 1723 (Maion Givelet), and purchased by Louis-Victor Revillon in 1839, Offices in Europe and USA/Canada, and tradings posts in eastern Asia. Acuired by Cora in 1982, now operating as Cora-Revillon. They also produce perfume (not to be confused with Revlon fragrences and cosmetics). Andover lists this perfin as "uncommon". There are several others very similar and the differentiation is the distance between the lower perfs of the R and the F

Thought I'd post something to bump this thread. This is a set of common perfins on a fragment that I came across. The interesting elements are the two sizes and types of the CL perfin, large on the sowers (Yv189 and 278B-pair of 5c) and small and more widely spaced on the landscape stamps (Yv317 and 327), and all on Credit Lyonnais envelope letterhead. I don't have the perfin references that stainlessb has, so perhaps he can add a bit more info.

I would need to know heighth of th eperfins and how many perforation per letter. There are a great many Credit Lyonnais perfin, and many have only slight differences.
A close-up of the stamp wopuld also be helpful, and if you can make out the obliteration, that is a help as some of the perfinsd were specific to certain offices/regions.

I have 7 Credit Lyonnais CL perfins, 1 with "c" 6 with "CL" all different One usually offer up scan of the back, (placed on black paper) so we can see the puncture formats.

Ancoper lists3 'C' only and 45 "C" "L" for Crédit Lyonnais, with several more blank/unknown entrys of C and L. Many of the perfins vary ever so slightly.
