Hello everyone!
As I am currently learning and discovering the stamps world (which I was first initiated to and attracted by at a very young age many-many years ago), I am still undecided as to which direction my collection should go.
However, I’ve laid down the foundation for some of my future topical collections. One of them being Great Engravers – featuring stamps from as different names as Karl Bickel, Czeslaw Slania, Martin Mörck and Pierre Albuisson among others. Other topics I would like to learn about and elaborate further, include chess and airmail stamps from the 20s, to name but a few.
In the process of learning I would be more than happy to contribute whenever I can. My expertise is in history (art history included), linguistics and culture rather than philatelic one.
Happy collecting everyone and thanks for having me!

I'm pretty sure a lot of us are still undecided on direction, even after decades!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcoming! wakeybluenose your words sound reassuring as I was feeling kind of lost. ajkitt your comment is much appreciated, as English isn't usually my first choice of language and I am still struggling with it. hrdoktorx will do in due time. But first I have so many threads to catch up with. rex , grazie, Ludovico, it's so nice to find a truly global community
