Hello everybody again.
Curious to know why, catalogue value of a set is less than the total of the individual stamps value of that set.

Individual stamp price in catalog factors in labor of full-time stamp dealer to ID/store/stock and then package the stamp. It assumes you are just buying that stamp. A dealer will give you a significant discount if you buy more.
This usually only happens when most of the stamps in the set are minimum catalog value, or very occasionally I've seen this for setenant blocks for countries/areas that have fallen significantly in market value.

The same applies to even collections, A collection will usually never usually realize the same value if stamps are sold individually,
