Hello everyone Just joined and surprised I haven’t found you all before. I’ve been collecting stamps since the age of 8yrs (stamp album and stamps from my parents for birthday). They both collected. From a general collection and a long gap up until 1980’s, when for some reason I decided to collect Central and South America (I liked the early designs), I’m now retired and able to focus on Colombia especially early including cubiertas insurance stamps. I tend to buy and sell via internet auctions and eBay. Look forward to hearing from any like minded collectors or if I can help with uk stamps.

Hi petersmith5 welcome to the Forum. We finally got another Colombia collector I collect, essentially, Gran Colombia (Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela). My main focus is Colombia as my wife is Colombian. She is from Boyaca, Tunja and lived in Bogota. It will be great to see your stamps. I also have a number of cubiertas. Being from the UK, I assume that you knew of Brian Moorhouse. Jerry B

Welcome to TSF, Peter ( petersmith5)! I am also in the UK, living in Oxford. Whereabouts are you, if you don't mind my asking? When not in lockdown, we have lots of stamp-related activities around here, so perhaps at some point, you may be able to visit. Colombia sounds interesting. As a WW collector, I have a bit, but I have never really learned about it. I hope to see some examples from your collection. Enjoy your time with us, -Chris ( Beryllium Guy)
