Hi everyone,
I am an Israeli-Russian citizen. I’ve inherited a collection of my dad who fell victim to the coronavirus 3 months ago. Never thought I would be that sad way, however I decided to continue what my father started 80 years ago. I have no clear vision on what part of philately I will be focusing at but it seems that FDCs, Romanian (up to 70s) and Russian (up to 90s) stamps are the areas that attract me the most. Looking forward to learn a lot and hopefully bring some value to the community.

Anton,
Welcome to our Forum.
I'm sorry for your loss. I have my late-Father's collection and every time I work with it I'm reminded of him and the time we spent together.

Welcome to the forum akommar from another new collector in Texas. I am very sorry to hear that you lost your father to COVID. I hope you find joy and solace in carrying on your father's legacy. Sincerely, Patti

Welcome Non teme l'urna chi lascia eredità d'affetti (Ugo Foscolo) Difficult to make a translation, Those who leave a legacy of affects are not afraid of the urn (are not afraid to die), something like... Soviet Russia has become a very interesting area... To go on with the collection of your father is the best way to keep him alive... (Ok, it's not so easy...) Roberto
