Hi all information please on this stamp. Looks like error on right 2? 2 marks above 2 and 1 mark above the tail of the 2 Scott 707? Thanks

I looked at my Scott Specialized and the issue had several plate flaws but not sure if they apply to what you see.

nzstamps - this is an inking phenomenon, found frequently on engraved US stamps. Comes and goes, not a constant plate flaw.

Hi, nzstamps: Just to be sure, I have double-checked the Scott Catalogue, and yes, I agree that your stamp is a US, Sc707, 2-cent carmine, part of the Bicentennial of the Birth of George Washington set.
