I really like the Scott Minuteman album. It fits the way I collect. All Scott major numbers are in it. Coil stamps are not pairs, and the stamps all have descriptions.
The one thing I DON'T like about the album is the paper they use. It's very thin.
I am on Amos' website, and I notice that all their supplements are now print-on-demand. A lot (but not all) of print-on-demand or "quick print" services are just photocopying a very high quality source. Or they're printing out a PDF file to a printer of some kind.
So I ask Amos if I could buy the 2020 Minuteman Supplement on Scott National paper. No reason they can't just quick-print onto different paper.
Of course their answer was no.

I thought I may have found something I like in the Minkus supplement. Then I learned it's punched for 2 post binders only.
So, here is a list of what I am looking for. Maybe someone can recommend an album for me:
1. All major Scott Catalog numbers. 2. Only one of each major number (no coil pairs. no se-tents connected and broken up) 3. Se-tenants always connected 4. Somewhat heavy paper (60# of better) 5. Descriptions on all stamps, even defintives
Any recommendations?

Hi Andy
Best I can suggest is what I do. I don't use a pre-printed commercial album, I use blank quadrille pages. I was buying quadrille pages, but the page format changed every now and then. I decided to go to a "mom-and-pop" local printer. After a few samples we came up with a suitable quadrille page. The initial printing was on 50 pound paper. A binder is very very heavy, so when I re-order I will probably drop down to 40 pound paper. The print shop saves the layout cd so no setup charges.
The advantage of this method is that I can mount anything I want on a page. Some pages have covers and stamps, some pages have a stamp and its variations, some have a full set including the air-mails.

I'm making my own album slowly. I can't find anything that really suits my needs.
