Thanks for sharing this presentation book! I think it is elegant, and does justice to the definitive stamps. What is the 'catalogue no' on the last image? It appears to be a sorting number of some kind, but other then the year date, it does not make sense to me.
This book was around the same time as a green cover, and a burgandy cover entitled 'Some Canadian Stamps' These were about the same size, and appear at auction somewhat more commonly then this white one that I feel is quite rare.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Sorry but I have no idea what the number means. If I recall correctly this book came from the home of a man that worked for the government of Canada and attended international conferences where postal presentation booklets would be exchanged. The conferences Would have dealt with international postal cooperation.

I believe that the "Catalogue #" is more of an index or control number for the Queen's Printer which funny enough is not located in Ottawa but rather on the other side of the river in Hull, Quebec.
