New member - John Moerk

Hello - my name is John Moerk.  I am 80 years old and was introduced to stamp collecting by my father when I was a kid.  Of course, back then everything was logged on paper and glued into a Minkus album.   Over the years he accumulated thousands of stamps, both US and foreign.  I was actively helping him until I went to college, then my interest waned while I pursued my career and family.  I inherited his collection when he passed in 1989, but still didn't pay much interest until I retired in 2003 and purchased StampManage software which made collecting much more manageable and fun.  When I finally got his 50,000+ stamps and first day covers catalogued I became interested in perfins and precancels, having come across some in the collection; thus my main involvement will probably be asking questions about perfins.
