An example of a banknote issue with a dropped tool mark -- small red line at upper left points to the mark.
Anyone ever seen other examples?

WERT = I believe "Doctor Blade" is a reference to twentieth century rotary press printing, thus wouldn't apply to this stamp.

WERT - Likely a rag and solvent, by hand. The mentioned line looks more like a plate scratch, a nice find in my eye.

I had missed that but it should have been obvious compared to the tool mark!
Could it have been an errant/faint ruling line intended to not show?

I know nothing about the mechanics of laying down the transfer roller for this series. It could be. But I discounted that as the line looks to be skewed outward at the top not precisely parallel to the stamp image. There's gotta be a reference for this.
