Hi,
I was looking some old stamps in yellow color, very difficult to identify transfers and details. I'm using high resolution scan of the stamps set to review in my PC with imagen software (gimp). With the software I can change color, discompose, etc. Is somebody develop of any experience in that process?

I am at the start point of having to assess and decide about a lot of recent acquisitions for my Japan collection and this thread and the other thread referred to will help a lot for it is a long and careful process for a responsible collector to study and learn about how to know quality and accuracy in what they collect. It was a good reminder around this to re read the standards posted of ethics ....and a good guide for a lot of work to come for me  thanks for this thread. Chris |
