The end result after sorting through this new glassine was that I was able to pretty much fill the page for the King Ferdinand issue of 1920 to 1926. Mind you, the Steiner pages don't have the various perf types, but I will supplement with Steiner quadrille blank pages to separate out all the minor varieties and perf types. This leaves me with only the 6L carmine missing from the page.  |

darkormex - I am pleased to see you're so interested in the varieties of Romanian stamps. Thats a lifetime study in itself! You've made a wonderful page. Smart move to combine Steiner and quadrille. If curious to expand....? My brother@barbu has ventured beyond and has made very extensive pages that allows for all the perf varieties, shades, watermarks and different watermark positions listed at Romania stamps.com. Which was, as you can imagine, a mammoth job!! But now that it's done it's very useful for diving deep in the wonderful classical stamps of Romania. I am quite confident he will share with like minded, if interested.

Great darkormex . I had a word with barbu , and as expected he was delighted to share with like minded. I will send a 128 pages pdf shortly, of Romania up until 1940. To give others an idea of what we're talking about, here's a few pics of Jens ( barbu ) custom made pages for the King Ferdinanad series, spanding 6 rather densely laid out pages. Lots of varieties to look for, opening a whole new dimension to Romanian stamps. Different types, Paper varieties, watermark varieties, perforation varieties, shades... I never new stamps of Romania could be this much fun! (Please don't mind my starters collection on these pages, it just that; a start!)       |
