Hello Zepp here. Question for one and all. On Horizon Labels I am looking for the second batch of indicators that came out in 2002 the first was 14th Feburary, then came the
second lot, what were they and the date. If you can help thank you. ps. is there a Horizon Lable Society out there

They became more collectible when Machin heads were introduced and the colour was switched to gold. Although they have gradually transformed back to white labels but still maintaining the Machin head. There's a pre-existing thread here. Hope this helps, Daniel

Hello Daniel Thanks for that, I had seen that info but it's what's not there. 2002 started with 6 indicators but in a couple months they added more but when and what , gettings dates is the problem, You would think by now that Royal Mail would have some info in one book. but never mind we will struggle on Thank you Zepp

I found these recently. Although dated 2006, this format dates back to 2003, the st in 1st and the nd in 2nd are now in lower case. Shown together with a Welsh first class example, 1af. They all have security slits added from 30th April 2002 and they are now printed over to the left.
Also shown, from 2008, a first class Large Letter 1LL example. Dated 31/07/08 but with an added Twickenham Delivery Office handstamp for 1st August, not usually required but, presumably, indicating a delay.

In this example, from 2005, the label has slipped during the printing process and part of the imprint appears on the matrix. I assume that, as with the later gold versions, these labels were originally in pairs.
