Shouldn't these COGH triangles be in the COGH thread? Michael originally asked the above question in the Triangle Birthday thread, but I thought that it might be worthwhile to start a new thread on this topic. To answer the question, michael , the posts on the Cape triangles would be great in the COGH thread, but they also fit where they are in the Triangle Birthday thread. That is one of the multi-faceted aspects to TSF: many posts could fit into multiple subject-specific threads. I think that the answer is that it ends up being the choice of the member where they want to make their post. If a post is clearly in a thread where it doesn't belong, as a Moderator, I will usually contact the member and propose to move it. Before I became a Moderator, I sometimes asked other members to re-post the same image and content in another thread. That wasn't because it didn't belong where they posted it, but simply that it was also a nice addition to another thread as well. It's a judgement call, really. Opinions are welcome, of course!

I think it is important to point out the search feature on TSF too. I use it quite a bit when I do not know where to post something.

Thank you very much for mentioning the TSF Google Search function, Darrin ( darkormex ). You are quite right, of course. In some cases, it's clear where to post something, such as when going by country. But for topical or thematic areas, or other areas of discussion, it may not be obvious where the best place to post is. Doing a search of the Forum to see if anyone else has already posted on a topic is a very good practice. We end up getting repetitive threads on the same subjects because new ones get started when existing ones are not sought out. In those cases, Moderators can ultimately combine them together, but it's always better to find the existing ones in the first place. Really good point, Darrin, thank you for making it!
