Hi folks, let me introduce myself. Sixty-three year young bloke now retired. Started collecting stamps and coins very early on but studies, raising a family and careers ensured a long lapse before the inevitable retirement boredom re-ignited memories of a relaxing and enjoyable pastime.
My interests in Stamp Collecting are
(1) Families, genera and species of Lepidoptera (butterflies & moths), Coleoptera (beetles) and other insect groups.
(2) The historical events or discoveries made by ocean going Navigators and acclaimed Mathematicians, Physicists, Astronomers & other scientists from all disciplines.
(3) Mid 19th to mid-20th century stamps of:
(a) France
(b) Italy
(c) Germany
(d) Monaco
(e) New Caledonia
I use StampManage software to keep track of it all and store them in binders.
Other hobbies include mounting specimens in frames for display; volunteer my IT skills as a committee member of the NGO "People with MS Victoria Inc".
Before retiring I was self employed in IT Systems and Networking with occasional Web Development. Originally trained in Biochemistry working in hospital pathology before teaching Chemistry, Science & Maths in long gone old-school era of talk and chalk.
Thththaat's all folks! .. Adolfo

Welcome to the Forum!
i too, use Stampmanage to try to keep track of my holdings. Not even halfway to adding data. Also I stopped collecting for years but I did continue to but. Think perhaps “one day” I would resume. Result boxes of stuff to sort through. A few years ago I found the Forum. I learned so mush.
