The twelfth International Philatelic Exhibition of the United States will be held in Boston, Massachusetts May 23-30, 2026 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.During that eight-day period, Boston will become the world's philatelic center. The show's website may be accessed at boston2026.org. You may sign up for the expo's email list -- I have done so to keep the Forum apprised of relevant show information. For those who collect such things, show labels are now available and may be purchased on the show's website. A limited-edition sheetlet of nine rouletted labels, signed and numbered by its designer, Chris Calle, is being offered exclusively through the show website for a donation of $10, plus postage and handling ($5 domestically and $10, internationally). Up to three unsigned sheets may be ordered, per person, plus postage and handling. The site accepts PayPal, Venmo, and USD checks. Below is the signed sheet I just received -- marginal marking indicates that it is the first in what will be a series of labels.

Any of you who are planning or hoping to attend, I hope you can work in at least a couple of extra days to walk around. It's a wonderful city, and it's a young city. I don't even know how many colleges, universities, and specialized schools (the Boston Conservatory of Music, so on) there are in the metro area, but it's got to get close to three figures. So a lot of the city is 22 years old, and the rest of it is 300 years old: neighborhoods that you can walk around and wonder if that was John Adams who just walked out of the bar.
My last major vacation - pre-pandemic - I drove up from Connecticut with absolutely no plans and no itinerary, got a motel room just across the town line in Brookline, unpacked my bags, and went for a walk that lasted for about a week, interrupted by cheap rides with a 7-day pass on the T, food, and whatever looked interesting. One day that was a string quartet in the Boston Public Library, the next evening it was a night club that featured skronk music. 5 or 6 miles a day not counting the trolley rides, it snowed half the time, and it was one of the best weeks I've ever had in my life. Once it's safer to go out in public than it is now, the first thing I'm going to do is do the same thing all over again.

While Boston 2026 is still a long way off, it is never too early to start planning. Here is the Expo's trifold:

The second show label has been released and mine arrived in yesterday's mail - I order both a signed and unsigned sheet. Note that, unlike the first in the series, this sheet has been issued perforated.

brightonpete, I thought I'd read that the signed copies of the first sheetlet had been sold out but I can't now find that so I'm not sure. I've emailed the PR contact and will let everyone know his response.

Last Call for Second Boston 2026 Collectible Label7/19/2023 Boston 2026 World Expo will debut its third collectable label at the Great American Stamp Show on Friday, August 11. This means the second label will be withdrawn on Thursday, August 10 – have you secured yours yet? The second-in-a-series, limited-edition label, featuring Ben Franklin, The New England Courant, and other patriotic imagery, was created by Chris Calle, award-winning stamp designer. Calle, who is perhaps best known for his space-themed art (including the Scott #2419 “Moon Landing” stamp), has been tapped to create each collectible label leading up to Boston 2026. Each sheetlet of this second “Road to Boston 2026” label, printed by The Portland Stamp Company, contains nine water-activated labels of the same design. To facilitate collector demand, one unsigned sheet of the second label may be ordered per person, free of charge – just pay postage and handling. Single signed sheets can be ordered for a $10 donation. Postage and handling for both signed and unsigned sheets are $5 for domestic addresses and $10 for international (including Canada) addresses. Visit the Boston 2026 website to get your order in today.

Third show label was released at GASS on August 11th, wasn't able to attend sadly, hopefully next year though! Very excited for Boston 2026, already started planning out the trip with my fiancée.

My copies of the 3rd Boston 2026 show label in the series arrived in today's mail (one signed and one unsigned). Number 113 of 450 leads me to believe that there are still many signed copies still available for the taking. They can be ordered on the Expo's website (www.boston2026.org).

Just wanted to mention that when I did a bus tour of Boston just before leaving on our cruise two weeks ago, the route took us right in front of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), where the 2026 international stamp show will take place. My wife Amy snapped this photo as we drove by. I am already making plans to be there, and I hope that others from TSF will do the same!
