The twelfth International Philatelic Exhibition of the United States will be held in Boston, Massachusetts May 23-30, 2026 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.During that eight-day period, Boston will become the world's philatelic center. The show's website may be accessed at boston2026.org. You may sign up for the expo's email list -- I have done so to keep the Forum apprised of relevant show information. For those who collect such things, show labels are now available and may be purchased on the show's website. A limited-edition sheetlet of nine rouletted labels, signed and numbered by its designer, Chris Calle, is being offered exclusively through the show website for a donation of $10, plus postage and handling ($5 domestically and $10, internationally). Up to three unsigned sheets may be ordered, per person, plus postage and handling. The site accepts PayPal, Venmo, and USD checks. Below is the signed sheet I just received -- marginal marking indicates that it is the first in what will be a series of labels.

If you're no longer on Earth, there is no reason to remind you.

What I collect: Mostly eastern and southeastern Europe, some Central America, postally used Africa - and Norway because everybody should collect someplace that doesn't have civil wars.

Any of you who are planning or hoping to attend, I hope you can work in at least a couple of extra days to walk around. It's a wonderful city, and it's a young city. I don't even know how many colleges, universities, and specialized schools (the Boston Conservatory of Music, so on) there are in the metro area, but it's got to get close to three figures. So a lot of the city is 22 years old, and the rest of it is 300 years old: neighborhoods that you can walk around and wonder if that was John Adams who just walked out of the bar.
My last major vacation - pre-pandemic - I drove up from Connecticut with absolutely no plans and no itinerary, got a motel room just across the town line in Brookline, unpacked my bags, and went for a walk that lasted for about a week, interrupted by cheap rides with a 7-day pass on the T, food, and whatever looked interesting. One day that was a string quartet in the Boston Public Library, the next evening it was a night club that featured skronk music. 5 or 6 miles a day not counting the trolley rides, it snowed half the time, and it was one of the best weeks I've ever had in my life. Once it's safer to go out in public than it is now, the first thing I'm going to do is do the same thing all over again.

While Boston 2026 is still a long way off, it is never too early to start planning. Here is the Expo's trifold:

The second show label has been released and mine arrived in yesterday's mail - I order both a signed and unsigned sheet. Note that, unlike the first in the series, this sheet has been issued perforated.

brightonpete, I thought I'd read that the signed copies of the first sheetlet had been sold out but I can't now find that so I'm not sure. I've emailed the PR contact and will let everyone know his response.
