Hi
How do you go about collecting stamps?
I collect nothing but Penny Red's. I thoroughly enjoy it although I don't in any way have a large or valuable (except to me) collection.
I've divided it as follows.
1) Maltese Cross with numbers 1 -12. Still looking for four of them.
2) Maltese Cross cancellations in general.
3) Perfins.
4) Travelling Post Marks and Stations.
5) Blocks and Strips.
6) Faults.
7) Building up a sheet by letters.

Hi Cronos , I have collected these in the past and still have a complete run of the numbered ( letters in 4 corners ) from 71-225 ... Last month the family of a deceased member of our local club passed a complete run from 71-224 in great condition ( no 225) which I have been asked to sell. The catalogue value runs to £1100 ... I hope I can get £100 for them. I guess you have these, though you do not say so above?

That's the nice thing about collecting stamps. There is no right way to do it and there is no wrong way to do it. If it makes you happy, you can carry on and do whatever you like.
