I am envious of totally awed by this wonderful collection. I've been saving up Habsburg stamps with non-Austrian postmarks as I find them and not doing too bad with Czechia - and I just got a Zagreb postmark on a Hungarian stamp, which made me very happy. You have given me something to aspire to.

Agreed, great collection, beautifully presented. I love the coloured papers. I wish I had the patience for such an endeavour. Well done anglobob !! Oh yes, and your terminology is spot on ! It should be remembered by us all that it differs from nation to nation, person to person. It's normal. Londonbus1

This just seems odd. City appears to be Andorf, November 1901 the red overstamp has my curiosity, as well as the boxed Erkl (explain) anglobob any ideas? any clues?

Stan ( stainlessb ), my guess is that Erkl. is short for Erklärung, which means "explanation" in English. Not sure what would have preceded that. A native German speaker might be able to help us: salentin , cara , others? Or maybe PostmasterGS?

stainlessb as Chris ( Beryllium Guy noted, "Erkl." could be the abbreviation for "Erklärung" ("explanation" or "declaration"). Unfortunately I have not found an example of such a postmark and also not for the red overstamp (" ... oder ..hnitten" could mean "... oder geschnitten" = " ... or cut" but I'am not sure) I do not think that it is censorship.
