I primarily use Chrome as a browser but when I restarted work part time I once again got into Microsoft world (Outlook, Office apps, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
Of course, Windows 10 tries every way it can to get one to use Edge bit other browsers continue to update to counter their actions on changing defaults.
With a work provided laptop I decided to give Edge a try for work laptop.
Conclusion --- it has the look and feel of Chrome. I still need to change the search engine since MS defaults to Bing but mostly using to access Microsoft products so internet searching is less important. I never liked Internet Explorer with it clunky menu system.

It's been a habit to use Chrome, but I frequently use edge, and it looks good. But you need to have Google as search engine.

Thanks for starting this thread, Al ( angore), it's an interesting area to discuss. I have long been using Google Chrome as my personal browser, but MS Edge for my work, especially since I have been here in the Uk, where it has been good to keep the two separate. I bought a new HP laptop in the US over Christmas, and the machine is trying to force me to use Edge for everything, going so far as to assert that Google Chrome is not a secure browser and that if I choose to use it on my new laptop, it will invalidate the warranty. All of that aside, I have generally been happy with Google Chrome, but I will say that managing what are called "favorites" on Edge and "bookmarks" on Chrome has been far easier on Edge. With Chrome, when I bookmark something, it can still be a real job to find it the next time I want to access it. On Edge, it is very easy to find and manage favorites. In that respect, at least, I have been happy in my experience with Edge so far.

My biggest complaint with Microsoft Edge is that Windows tries to force it down my gut with every update, even making me go through a series of slides to make me accept Microsoft Office (LibreOffice is better) and Edge (Vivaldi is better) and Bing (Duck Duck Go is the only search engine I ever use voluntarily, and I even put a Duck Duck app on my iPhone). I also don't seem to be able to customize Edge the way I want, especially by defaulting everything to "open page in new tab", which is of outsized importance to the way I assemble my research projects. That aside, Edge seems incredibly stable and I love the screen rendering. Unlike Beryllium Guy , though, I'm having trouble getting used to Edge's way of handling bookmarks, but it is better than Chrome's. It reminds me of Evolution, a popular Linux browser, but I never really got the hang of Evolution either. Vivaldi has languished in obscurity since its inception. It is built on Chromium (as is Edge, I believe) but it has the interface of the original Opera, which I loved (though it did have inferior screen rendering and some compatibility problems, many of which could be fixed by telling it to tell Web Sites, "Oh, I'm a Firefox"). And there is almost nothing I've tried and failed to do to make it more in line with the way I work. BTW, since I got Beryllium Guy's attention, we were watching a television programme about the new Webb space telescope, and I was delighted to learn that the reflectors on it are coated in beryllium. I've since learned that optics boffins have known about its remarkable reflective powers, and I knew it was lightweight, but it's rare that you hear beryllium (the metal, not the guy) mentioned in public, so I was able to indulge in my absolute favorite pastime - learning and absorbing a true fact I'll never use but just love knowing about.

I've tried various browsers, but have stuck with Safari. Being a "Mac head," it just works seamlessly between iPhone, iPad and iMac. I like that browser windows on one device get listed on other devices. Everything just works for me. I still have other browsers, but I should just delete them.

Like Chris, one motivation was to keep my personal links separate from work
As for email clients, I would use Outlook but it still does not support a unified mail box.
As for my setup. I had purchased a new Lenovo ThinkPad with a Thunderbolt dock (connects via USB-C with power delivery) over a year ago. This is a more universal interface. My work laptop is a Dell and it also has a USB-C port for power input. Both came with 65W adapters so power needs are the same. With this setup, when working from home I can just replace my home laptop with the work and can use the same work area (multiple displays, etc) rather than a completely separate setup that I had during COVID work from home.
