I'm just wondering... I bought a poster frame and painted the backboard with a water based acrylic paint. Now I want to mount my 2021 uncut press sheet of 12 souvenir sheets of the Lunar New Year. The frame has a thin plastic cover so the sheet needs to be adhered to the backboard somehow. I was going to use stamp mounts but thought that would be cheesy, and besides, I don't have any big enough! But what else can I do? Maybe cut up page protectors? Or maybe Elmers Glue Stick to have it sit flush on the backboard!
It is that, or take it to Michaels to have them do a bang-up job mounting it, but at a price. I must say, Michaels will do a far better job though!
What are your thoughts on that?
TIA eh!

What I collect: 19th Century US, High denomination US (> $1), 19th century covers US, Indian Feudatory States and most recently I acquired a BigBlue [with about 5,000 stamps] and pristine pages.

I use acid free sleeves (see image below) for odd sized covers. These come in various sizes, I have three different ones up to 4x6. I mount these on pages various ways -- usually just plain stamp hinges but sometimes I will make linen hinges. I have tried acid free glue sticks but found it did not stick very well. I put the result in sheet protectors and then into albums.
I tried cutting with shears and paper cutters but found a fine tipped soldering iron and metal ruler works best to make custom sizes.
Album page scanned through sheet protector:

Hi brightonpete
A friend had a similar situation. I don't know where he got them but he used fairly large clear archival photo corners. They seemed to stick pretty good. Note: Make sure any cover you put on top does not touch the stamp sheets. Make the background a little bigger than the stamps and add a border with mat type material.

I should have added that the sheet size is 14" x 28"! Too big for another else that I have, which is why I bought this poster frame. No mounts big enough to hold it, but I was thinking of top and bottom mounts that partially cover the sheet to kind of hold it in place. I'd think that the water-based acrylic paint would be safe for the sheet to lie against. There is a gap between the sheet and the plastic overlay on the frame itself.
I have to go to Belleville on Thursday, so I'll stop in at Michaels and see what they say about them doing it. I'd hate for anything untoward happen to it from my job.

When I am forced to fabricate oversize mounts as banknoteguy, I affix a couple of post-it-notes to the back of the plastic, then use a glue stick to affix the mounted item to the page.

Believe it or not, they used to make album pages for press sheets, even a giant oversized binder! They were similar to the clear-on-black polypro pages that companies like SuperSafe made for their mint sheet albums. Unfortunately, as this was near the turn of the century, I don't recall the manufacturer of the press sheet pages nor the maximum size (although G&K did make a "generic"), but am pretty sure they discontinued making them after 1-2 years because of low demand. It can't hurt hurt to contact some of the larger/older supplies dealers to see if they still have some extra page-only refill packs. I do remember they weren't cheap, but the clear-on-black polypro pages, in general, look very nice.

The smaller press sheet album page is too small for you -- I think it was something like roughly 24x24". But I think the bigger one will fit your press sheet, if you can still find it.
