Hi my name is John and live right outside of Philly. I have been collecting since the 70s I think my first album was for cub scouts. Then it grew from there to 4 volumes of Minkus All American and move volumes for FDCs. Took a few years off as I made and raised children. Found more of my collection as I was cleaning out my moms house and found the a few forums looking for software ideas to finally catalog everything. I collect US and was doing FDCs for decades. I also enjoy ship covers and focus a lot on the USS NJ it is parked not to far away and see it each day as I travel back from work. I do a few topicals too like locks and keys because I work in the physical security field and nudes because I also collect adult non sports cards. Unrelated to stamps I have one of the largest collections of rubber ducks. Don't ask me how many I have because I always say if you can count them you don't have enough.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Don't ask me how many I have because I always say if you can count them you don't have enough. Great quote! I'll try to remember it for the next person that asks me how many stamps I have in my collection. 12,503 at last count, but that was in 1983! And, of course, to TSF!

HI and Welcome. What a fun range of interests you have! ducks eh? we had some duck decoys made back in the 1960s that were a lot of fun i think my family got them from LL Bean. On stamps, i love ship stamps too, always have loved naval history and I collect 3000 scale and 1250 scale small metal waterline ships, of various earlier eras and also have a collection of US Naval WWII documents, and reference books and waterline recognition models for training Pilots of that era. Stamps are an interest i came back to and am finding very enjoyable. nice to meet you.
