Hello all forum members,
My name is Arend Lanser and I reside in New Zealand. I am interested in collection the NZ 1898 Pictorial Issue mainly, but also other pictorial issues and of course the world famous NZ Chalon heads both imperforate and perforated.
I hope I can add value to the discussion on these boards and also hope to learn more about this fantastic hobby.
I had "parked" my stamp collecting for a long time but when the initial lockdowns happened in 2020 (April for us), I found my collection and the passion was rekindled.
Cheers

Hi Arend & welcome to TSF
You must be a cricket fan to have a handle named 'blackcap' - nice one :-)
I have a purchase from Trademe due to arrive from you any day now - a nice mis-perfed 1/- perf Chalon. I will be showing it on the 'Chalons' thread once it arrives.
I am looking forward to your contributions here, in time.
All the best
Dave

I really hope you like the mis-perfed 1/ Chalon. I am here also to learn more. I did not even know that variety was called "mis perfed" but thanks to you and others on the Chalon thread have learnt a lot. I will look out for it there. I recently purchased a lot of 12.5p Chalons (about 40) in a Mowbrays Public Auction so may end up posting a few examples on there. We are currently in the process of moving house so once things settle will have more time. Yes indeed, have been a cricket fan for quite a few years now, got into it when the team started being called the blackcaps, I believe that term took over from "young guns". Cheers,Arend
