Since there are a few stamps dedicated to the SOS Kinderdorf International, I wanted to showcase some that I have in a dedicated thread. First two stamps from Côte d'Ivoire and a set of 4 from Sénégal: I got the first stamp on the top line early in my collecting years and for some reason it struck a chord...

Hermann Gmeiner was an Austrian doctor who founded the SOS Kinderdorf organization in 1949. For its 50th anniversary, the postal administrations of Austria, Switzerland, and Germany all marked the event, here the three issues are joined on a single cover:
