Dear friends, I am Sumit - originally from India but now work and live in England where I also started off with this new interest in philately and related aspects quite recently. Although, as most of you experienced folks know well, in these initial years my interests are quite varied but the common thread that sort of connects them is the historical connections - places, people, events, transport and communications etc. To mention the topmost interests I'd say (in some rough order of preference 1) Pre-philatelic postal history aspects (mostly Europe as of now) 2) British Indian philatelic period, esp. on the fiscal/revenue issues both of British India and princely states 3) World fiscal stamps (on) documents which gives some interesting context on the use (mostly Europe as of now) if this isn't enough I also have fun to collect used postal stationery. I am looking forward to an interesting, learning and enjoyable experience in the Forum! Best wishes to all!
