Ha! Here I thought I'd found the thread on the Great Debate between hinges vs. stamp mounts... you know? LOL! Instead I find the above. Love it! I work for a church and I've been known to write, on things I need which might tend to disappear from my office "Touch this and DIE! In all CHRISTIAN love of course..." And in another office I worked in years ago, I had a giant pen I had bought - it was about 10-12 inches high - and had "TRY TO STEAL THIS ONE" written on it!

Although here in my Little Household of Happiness, my stamps ALONE seem to be enough for my husband not to touch them... he can't understand WHY I would collect stamps. And I guess I haven't found the right reason for him to start yet either ("Hey Mike, you like looking at the history of hockey uniforms... you could collect those... or cooking... or stamps related to the charities you support...") Anyone else "unequally yoked" in marriage, LOL!

actually, I think it might be more correct to say "yoked unequally" - the adverb (the word which ends, usually, in 'double ell why', is the qualifying word;-);-);-) Actually, you don't need to be qualified to be married (it's not a word, it's a sentence) - in fact it helps if you aren't, then you won't complain to your other half. With me it's a case of 'what don't I collect', so my oh has plenty to moan about - she collects nothing, she's a Witness too, so we also don't share Christmas, Birthdays, Mum's Day, Dad's Day. Ah, but there is an up side - I spend money like water, and my oh doesn't, so we save some pennies on the house keeping - imagine if she was a collector too!!! So, I'm looking for a very wealthy lady, who is a compulsive collector, with a secular turn of mind, who enjoys boot/estate sales in all weathers and up at five a.m., and will sort all my stamps, take off paper, and doesn't complain at anything;-);-)

Anyone else "unequally yoked" in marriage, LOL! My house is mixed. Some things we both collect like non sports trading cards other things like my Rubber Ducks I'm all alone. Stamps and covers she has gotten into with her own collection. But that is not without its own problems. This past weekend it was her who wanted to go back to one dealer and dove into bins of sheets. She collects space and the US put out the century of progress series and many of them had 1 space stamp on each sheet. I collect US so what do we do? We have to buy 2 copies of each sheet. We have the same problem with ship (me)/space (her) covers and I collect postal or stamp event covers and lots of them have honored space and don't get me started on FDCs (me) that have a space stamp but I focus on ArtCraft so that is a thing.
