Hello everyone,
Anyone already buy an excel file database from stampsbooks.com ?
I ask them two times about Canada DB, if they use scott or unitrade numbers or michel numbers, like the european pdf example they give? No answer from them.
Also, what is the info provided for each stamps? The columns DB have? No answer from them.
I dont want to put 20 canadian bucks for something who are not really accurate.
Thanks all!

Hey there, ´I finally had a look at this site. From what I see all they are offering is access to files so you can print out as pages for an album.
To me the DB is only the images of the stamps. If they were using any type of catalogue numbers, they should be listing what catalogue is being used. Definitely not Scott or Unitrade that are the most commonly used.
if you are looking to catalogue your stamps or to do an inventory send me a message. I might have a few things to help out.

I use StampManage (worldwide cersion) software and includes Scott Nos. I do not know the quality of the stampbook files but with StampManage you can export the information to excel (or many other formats) with images. Depending on your needs it may be a more cost effective option.

angore sadly not on MacOs. But with colnect premium, it was possible to download .csv files with 10000 lines. Just need a little clean-up of the data. Thanks to macro on excel.

I agree with "angore". Use StampManage (as a 30-day trial version, for example) and export the data you need. But the program is so good that it's worth buying! The data from the USA and Canada are the best filled anyway. In addition, the database is constantly being expanded. Stamp data, prices and graphics are constantly increasing. I mean, worldwide, about 700,000+ records and about 300,000 images. It gets sporty with Excel.
Had not tested, but maybe with on a "windows virtual machine" on the MAC.
Or you can use the Online Catalog "https://www.stampworld.com/en/". Very extensive and a very good search function. But they have there own numbering.

Hi philcaronb
I have Stamp inventory software called StampTag. It puts the stamp data in the stamp image. I still have to finalize the software. I let it go for a while but it is over 95% complete.
If not interested in that, email me (initially via TSF) as to what you want and I may know of software or I can write your own personal software to your specs.
