Last month I created a post about the Unisafe cutter to see if anyone was using this model. I was looking for a mount cutter that did not take up as much space on my desk as my Showgard 605. Soon after, I found a Showgard 604 that I'm really happy with. I had been looking for this model for awhile and was happy to see one turn up for sale. Here's a side-by-side comparison in case anyone is interested in the size of each. The extension is removable and I have yet to use this feature, so I might take it off.

Looks nice, but I think I would want a longer extension. I like that the ruler is white on grey making it easy to read.

Hi jpotx113
A hint.
If possible, I would put the "measuring bar" at the bottom of the cutter. After many years of using a Showgard mount cutter I found this to be the best way. Its more stable. Also, I think that the older Showgard cutters were better than the new ones.

Hi Andy
I looked. The extension bar on my old Showgard Excal cutter is longer. It goes to 11 cm?, almost 2 x, or a little bit more, longer. As I said. Newer is not always better.

My Showgard cutter, maybe 30 years old, has a 6-imch (150mm) extension I do not know where the sliding black piece is. I am always cutting long strips so felt it got in the way,
