I'll add my little pile to Rod's thread. I see a couple that aren't included above.

They're not considered "cinderellas" but "voluntary charity stamps". If anything could be considered "voluntary" under a dictatorship. It was "advisable" to use them on some forms if you wanted things to go smoothly and not to be forgotten on someone's desk . It's still how things work in Spain. But, now, they no longer use stamps...

I understand your hostility is not towards me, a Canadian (our Country is a Democracy) but I did search in Spania Efidil - Beneficencia section and these 4 stamps/cinderellas (documented as 1945) are not listed - I thought I would/could get some help from members as I am not a Cinderella collector. Your expertise is well appreciated and hope to get a catalog which lists them as stamps - Thanks René

Off course! There's no any hostilty against you, as a TSF friend. On the other hand, Canada, where I've been just once, but enjoyed very much, is one of my preferred countries (actually, the first outside Europe). The status of these "stamps" is somewhat unclear. Spanish cinderella collectors, don't considere them as such, because they were issued by an "oficial body". But Edifil doesn't list them under "Beneficència" (I've just checked)... Anyway, I know very little on Spanish qüestions. Perhaps, you should ask on a Spanish philatelic fòrum (like, Agora filatèlica). They can give you some more detailed information about.

I've long had in my collection an ugly little duckling that I have never been able to formally identify, but which I suspect is such an "obligatory contribution" stamp from Spain. I obtained it in Guatemala in the very early days of my collecting so for a long time was assuming it to be a Latin American issue (but the castle motif is much more European than Centro-American). Although my Michel and AFA catalog listings for Spain do include quite a lot of these "benefit" stamps, I never saw that one listed. Has anyone seen this kind before? And sorry for the rather pitiful state of the stamp, it was already in pretty bad shape when I got it in the first place, and forty years of travels since did not improve things.

This label, shows the "Alcazar de Segovia" a Gothic castle in Segovia (Castile, Central Spain). It seems that they've also got a Roman aqueduct. It falls into the same category of Renden's one. Like these:
There are a number of issues (1940-1970) with different overprints. Sometimes, you find them at the back of collection Very common and cheap stuff.

, cursus! I figured you might know about these. I'm not surprised these are common and cheap, considered how I must have originally obtained it as part of a pack of WW stamps.
