Hi Everyone,
Its great to be accepted into this stamp community! I'm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
My stamp collecting interests currently include collecting Canadian Wildlife Conservation Duck (and other animal) stamps. I used to see them through the Post Office's glass counter when i was a young lad, but didn't have the money to acquire them then.
I recently found my childhood stamp book, after 30 years, and it got me interested again and i started doing research and looking at ebay and online catalogues for prices etc.
When i was young, it was just fun acquiring stamps and admiring their artwork, colours, shapes etc. I was not bogged down by their worth because i didn't know any better.
Now, after all my ebay and online catalogue research...well...factoring price into a stamp would definitely lead me into a different direction, for a different business-like type of fun.
I picked up a Canada duck stamp and the fun came back. I don't care if its not worth anything its brought back some of the memories of childhood days.
So for now, i'd like to grow my Canadian wildlife collection a bit more, but will still be on the lookout for high-value stamps that are hiding in albums that are being auctioned-off.
