I saw this referenced recently and must admit I wasn't aware there was a specialized catalogue from Y&T, thinking that it was already 'specialized"
Does anyone have a copy of Le Specialise Timbres de France and also the standard Y &T Catalogue de cotation Tinbres de France? How much 'more" information and details does the specialized have? Would it be worth adding (to the numerous other French philatelic references I already have...)

I don't have a copy, but I do know it only covers up to 1900. It is 1/3 the number of pages but 2x the price. Hopefully someone with a copy can chime in, as I'd like to know as well.

I found a 1975 issue here in the states for $50 plus tax(price includes shipping)... and yes only to 1900, (352 pages) meaning it would largely be about Ceres-Napoleon and Type Sage only (and I suppose early Telegraph issues). I seeno mention of colonies, but they too could be part of it.If it contains details that aren't covered elsewhere. The newest issue (from Y&T) is almost 500 pages, about $100 US plus some ridiculous shipping cost...

I asked a seller for somne specifics, stating that I had the latest Y &T, plus, Spinks|Maury, Dallay and others and this was their reply
We do have the big Yvert "Specialise" on our bookshelf, but have hardly ever had to refer to it. It is a very nice looking catalog with fancy layout and easy to understand listings. But if you have BOTH normal Yvert & normal Maury from recent years (not old ones!) then there would be hardly any benefit in it for you.
How refreshing to get an honest and candid reply, especially considering they basically talked me out of purchasinf!
