Hi Everyone and greetings from rainy and windy Melbourne.
I started collecting at 6 or 7 years of age and still keep amassing more after 45+ years. I have travelled a lot (nearly 50 countries) and lived for extended periods in Japan, China and Thailand. My OCD compels me to collect from the countries I have visited.
My main interests are Australia and States (Although I've never been to Tasmania - I guess I am breaking my rules), Japan, Thailand.
I really focus on the classic era and really don't build past 2000 even for Aus, Thailand and Japan.
Anyway, I look forward to posting questions and hopefully even answering some qs if I can.

What I collect: Used only - Australia, Great Britain, Canada, Ireland, Western Europe, and Scandinavia, from 1900 to date. That keeps me busy. To be honest I am trying to avoid becoming a WW collector.

Welcome! 50 countries is a lot, do you have any advice for how to travel more? Hi Dankir, The secret is quitting your job and travelling non-stop for 6 months at a time. When I left my job in Japan in 2010, I headed to South Africa for the World Cup and visited 13 other countries on the way home. It included Madagascar and Mozambique was worth several visits and the best thing about it was how it helped me with the stamp collectors' nightmare geography of Southern Africa. I have done that several times now. Also being based in Japan, I tried to come back to Australia via less travelled stopovers. I was trapped in China for all of COVID so I feel my travelling days are done.
