When one subscribes to the rare air of Cinderella collecting, the sickness knows no boundaries, anything on a bit of paper is collectable, Who knows, maybe a beer mat or Jam Jar label is tucked away somewhere.
These little fellows turned up about 10-15 years ago, but would I throw them out? No way. The lounged "back of book" in my Cinderella hordes.
Everything comes to he who waits. The Identification came in today's mail, courtesy of the Cinderella Club of Australia

Well done, Rod!
I've likewise picked up a few things over the years, especially when I was attending a lot of stamp shows and the wallet was accommodating. As I begin to uncover those items, I keep hoping that I'll find that I make a discovery that, when sold, would allow that wallet to become more accommodating again.
Again, good show!

Here's a FameFace I'm familiar with: a remake of the McGreely's Express stamp originally issued in 1898. Thanks for the background on the origin of FameFace!

May I have your permission to pass this on to my secretary of the club, with due acknowledgement? Thanks

No problem Rod. I think I pulled the image off a stamp auction site, and just cleaned it up a bit. Cheers!

You are so true Rod - I have come to the world of Cinderellas via our erstwhile colleague and friend Mr Bus - it is indeed a sickness and there is no cure - The ones you have posted are very nice in particular the one from the Newcastle Philatelic Society - some time ago I was able to pick there cinderella for the 150th Anniversary of Newcastle - Will have to try and locate a copy of yours to make a pair The feature shown on both is Nobbys Head This a link from wikipedia with more information en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobbys_Head

Re : Newcastle 1947 Exhibition
Huckles, that is an exceptionally nice Exhibition Cinderella, I have trawled my 1000's of listings, and cannot see it reproduced anywhere.
Would you consider my sending it to the Aust Cinderella Club? It is worth broadcast (if they deem fit) in their magazine.

It is stunning and I had never seen it previously. Now I have been searching for another without luck. So huckles had better beware.....I might get on flight to Oz !!!! On another point, I seem to be getting the blame from a few members here and elsewhere for their recent addiction to Cinderellas ! I didn't do it honest I didn't I would never do such a thing...... .......I promise never to mention Cinderellas again or show pictures of nice Cinderellas or........ Londonbus1

Not sure BLAME is proper terminology More like credit.I believe we ALL buy things that we like as opposed to just buying what others buy.I am thankful to find other collectors that share similar interests and it gives me a inner reassurance that I'm not "goofy" alone. Thanks LB1

Mitchell, now you make me feel bad. I just bought 5 fantasy Newfoundland Zeppelin cindies, which have not yet arrived. I am of the impression that their printing was done within the last decade or so. I know these are of no real value, but they please me. Preserving philatelic standards is something we all favor, but, surely, there is nothing wrong is buying some doo-dads that one likes? Please don't take this as a criticism, but like I just told Jeff, venting can be good sometimes. Theron.

I'll pay for, show interest, and collect whatever I want, I don't need some elitist telling me what is good or bad. Philately is a democracy, not a dictatorship.

Sounds good. How does one go about having your own cindys created?

Theron, I should think it is more difficult than it sounds, you need a printer with a perforator, that Canadian Lass comes to mind, and she will be retiring this year IIRC.
I am thinking expensive.
Otherwise consider your design on Zazzle stamps?

It would be interesting to have marius share his experience with the Agartha issues. I believe the Agartha stamps were printed in Germany. I will try to contact Marius for confirmation. It would be worthwhile if a new thread can be started regarding the making of Cinderellas. It is quite popular these days to make your own. So with that off my chest.......back to Fameface ! This is, I believe, the only Fameface in my collection. Others have tried too....this one from the USA. Slightly better quality for my eyes. Sorry Ozzies !! Londonbus1....three cheers for Fameface, hip hip.....

Found this one in #271p33 of Maple Leaves, the journal of the Canadian Philatelic Society of Great Britain. Mr. Stan Lum was an avid stamp collector and philatelic chronicler who wrote many pieces under the pseudonym "The Yellow Peril".
This was based on a another FameFace masterpiece used by famed Australian cinderella dealer Bill Hornadge (now retired). The collection of Mr Hornadge's price lists (available as a CD) contains many other examples of FameFace stamps.

Wow! The things that turn up! Thanks for posting, I have the Hornadge CD so I'll have a Bo-Peep. As an aside, I recently bought a huge Canadian Cinderella Lot at auction, was excited to get some unusual material, alas, it has gone missing in Transit, currently 60 days and counting.
