Now for a difficult question, but I will try to narrow it down.
I am looking to obtain a preprinted hingeless album. I am not looking for a simplified album, and my focus will be Early Canada and Newfoundland. I am interested in quality.
I have looked at Lindner and Davo.
Lindner would fit the bill I believe and I already have 2 of their albums. I am not 100% sure about their hingeless system.
Davo are nice but I understand they are simplified albums.I prefer this hingeless system.
I then happened on Palo Albums.
They are expensive, but are not simplified, have the hingeless system I prefer the cream coloured paper over white. More traditional I would think.
I suspect I am missing several other options, thus my post to elicit your advice.
Thank you,
John

Hello johnamichael, I can vouch for Palo hingeless album pages. I've been using them for all of my British Commonwealth material. You can see examples of my pages here in the TSF archives under my name REL1948. I'm crazy about them, they're not inexpensive but when you tally up the cost of paper, ink, mounts and your time, making your own pages is a lot of work with a price all their own. One of the features I like most about Palo is that they offer both Scott and Gibbons versions of their British commonwealth pages. If you select Gibbons pages, they will include every perforation and shade variety shown in the Gibbons catalogue. If you choose Scott, you get a simplified version including all of the listings shown in their catalogue. In my experience, turnaround time has been fantastic. If you have any questions, write to Paul Bartolomei at Palo, he knows all the answers. I'm a true fan and love all of their products. I was a Lighthouse Hinge-Less user for a long time but they have become both unavailable and very expensive. I gladly made the transition to Palo. Rob

Thanks REL 1948, I believe I will go ahead and purchase them.
I have to say that some of your Africa British colony collections are amazing. I especially liked the Basutoland and the Souther Rhodesia collection. Your images sold the Palo albums to me!

angore From looking at the Palo website, for early Canada you can chose Scott or SG pages, so I do not really follow you, but I suspect I maybe missing something. Thanks, John

Agree 100%, but my main collecting interest is BNA so they do have a SG version.
