I ended up with some US press sheets that I will eventually sell. Since they are press sheets, they are large. To make matters worse, they are all different sizes. After some measuring, the size can get up to 28 in. by 40. The width varies more than the length.
I wonder how the USPS expects people to store these. Some were shipped in tubes and others were shipped flat.

... I wonder how the USPS expects people to store these... I'm sure that USPS has no expectations, whatsoever, regarding what happens to the press sheets once they've been sold. I only have one press sheet (Legends of the West) and it remains in the mailing tube waiting for me to do something with it. I guess I could have it framed under glass; however, the only room with walls that my wife would let me hang it in are already full.

I bought a couple of these uncut press sheets last year, where they remained in tubes until I decided to get them framed. That's really the only to display them, as they are quite large. That are quite beautiful, and to leave them in a tube would be a shame. I'm glad I had them framed, as now I can enjoy seeing them all the time!

I normally don't acquire the press sheets unless there are some high premium position panes (some plate numbers are only available from the press sheet!) or it is something "nifty" like the space holograms. As stated, storing them is problematic since they started to vary the size considerably. The original press sheet albums are no longer viable since they can't hold the subsequent larger formats. To make matters worse, some press sheets you cannot leave in the tubes. For example, one of the Kwanzaa press sheets, the self-adhesive stamps will either pop off or shift if you leave them in the tube. It got so bad, for a brief time, USPS was offering to replace those Kwanzaa press sheets and shipping the replacements "flat" -- a very expensive and difficult packaging because the press sheet was a 5x1 pane wide format!
For a brief period, I kept 1 or 2 under the glass/acrylic on my desk. But that's not a long-term option if you actually collect these. I like those who frame them, but that's a luxury I can't afford -- not to mention protecting the more valuable ones from long-term UV exposure from my fluorescent lighting.

I noticed the press sheets with die cuts through the liner may be an issue in the tubes as they want to separate as you noted. I have no real interest in them but ended up with them. Mystic used the sheets without die cuts as a marketing gimmick.
I have removed all in tubes and stored flat with weights to get the curl out.
