I have quite a few postcards as well as a few other types of cards all of them with stamps. I'm wondering how I should store them, if there's any special sleeves or some kind of material they're manufactured with that I should stay away from?

I subscribe to Postcrossing, so receive dozens of postcards, many with very colorful modern stamps affixed. I store them in Lighthouse First Day Cover Albums. Alternatively, 2-pocket double-sided Vario sheets in a Lighthouse 3-ring album. I believe you can get clear Vario sheets like this if you want to display both sides of the cards. These are probably expensive solutions; but I'm sure others will have equally good suggestions.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

deniseb A year ago I was looking for a postcard album for my collection of postcards with postmarks from my home county. I was pleasantly surprised to find a perfect one for my needs on the Canada Post website. It was not cheap but it more than meets my needs with a high capacity.

I maintain 4 collections comprised of covers and cards in Supersafe FDC albums. The vast majority of my covers and cards are kept in museum grade archival sleeves. The sleeves are then stored in boxes. The sleeves come in post card as well as U.S. and European cover sizes.

Thank you for the suggestions it's a big help. I wasn't sure which route to take or if just any kind of folder would work and protect the integrity you have all given me a direction to look.
