I thought a new thread might make more sense- i have a few more of these to post, though maybe not today. James Suffern worked with my uncle. Both were stamp collectors. Based on the covers I have, James moved severa; times over the years ( and the Post Office seemed to keep finding him!)This is also from the Pandoras Box I have spent a portion of my day looking at. Habana Cuba Oct 27, 1952. Within a list from a stamp dealer in Habana, Joge Smith, 3a. No. 8, Miramar, Habana, Cuba, The list is 3 pages, mimeographed (raise your hand if you remember those), 2-sided (2 of 3 pages) listing stamps not only from Cuba, but worldwide. A blank order form was included and a self addressed envelope. 8 months after this was sent the revolution led by Fedel Castro would begin.

The Cuban National Lottery Another Lottery related cover, this time from Cuba. A letter sent from Havana dated December 25th 1941 and sent to Delbar Products Inc but had to be forwarded. It contained a leaflet concerning the Lottery Drawing for 10th January 1948.

I don't have many Cuban covers, but this commercial cover is in my Variant Airmail Borders Collection. An 1957 exchange of correspondence between banks collected for its border of alternating blue half circles and red half squares. Don StampHinger

Here is a Cuba cover I've discovered in my dad's philatelic materials, stored away in boxes since his death in 1957. He ran the Tanglewood Stamp Service out of a room in our house. After his death, my mom packed all his stock books, stamp collections and associated business materials into boxes. I took on the task of making an inventory of the materials a few months ago. General Collazo led insurgent forces in the 1895 War of Independence (source: Wikipedia). The stamp is Scott #441.
