Hi everyone. It’s PolarBear again. Lots happened this year, preventing my focusing on stamps. I’m back, but I will be on off and on. My original intro is linked below for the new members (or a refresher for the other members!).

I am a fibre artist by trade and worked hard this year to develop new websites (Shopify and Ko-fi), hold my first sale in Nova Scotia, gain gallery representation (Visual Voice Gallery in Truro), and set myself up for making home videos. This all cost money…stamp money. So now I’m broke and back at stamps, in-between gallery shows. I am focusing on organizing what stamps I do have and finding out more about the individual stamps.
I’m going to spend some time catching up on the various boards and threads!
I’m still collecting Canada to 2015, though I have most everything except the early classics. I have a Canada revenue stamp collection. And a Canada perfin collection. And a Newfoundland collection. And my worldwide textiles collection. I focus on handmade textiles, not machines or mills. I also have inadvertently started a St. Pierre & Miquelon collection (the stamps were a gift). And I started a Denmark collection. Though that may be dropped. I might have bit off more than I can chew there!
I’ve been over here kicking myself and licking my wounds after realizing I gave away a rather valuable Newfoundland stamp in one of my giveaways my last stint on the boards. I’m going to do a little more organizing of my collection so that doesn’t happen again!
