I'd be careful about downloading and printing a perf gauge. If the scale is off at all, it won't help you. Good luck, hope it works out when you find it!

Take a look at PERFOMaster 4000 and/or Stamp Analyzer. Both require you scan your stamp. I have used Stamp Analyser more in the past but PERFOMaster has some pretty neat feastures, though I will admit I have not yet mastered how to use all of them! PERFOMaster 4000
or any of the APP stores for Stamp Analyzer

I know exactly what you are saying, and I agree but if there are links which also includes downloading the actual exact size then problem solved .... I remember I had done it years ago but can't remember what link it was .... Cheers buddy

I only trust myself as those programs don't forget been programmed by human ... not sure why also if a program does those kinds of things for me it's funny I just dont feel no longer control of my own things ... it sounds weird ?! maybe because I am weird character at times

The computer and scanner have allowed to me to delve much deeper than I probably would have if I only had catalogues to reference. as to control... I know where the off button is

I know where the off button is hahaha I guess if you look at it that way... Maybe one day soon I will also start to think positive and all good things about software and apps .... but just keep in mind the kiusalas perforation Gauge is designed to correctly measure all perforations that occur on United States Stamps ... In Europe the perforations were made in mm In America the pins which do the perforating spaced in 1000's of an inch - NOT in millimeters ...... hopefully all that was also part of the program but as long as you are happy and likes it then who gives a rat's ass whether it's in 1000's of an inch or millimeters

The spacing of pins on any perforation machined to 1/1000th inch specs can be converted to metric dimensions without much fuss, and the Kiusalas gauge came with a conversion chart to convert the inch spacings into a perforation gauge measurement (number of holes per 2 cm). It is confusing to some that the Scott catalog use metric perforation gauge but does not mean the perforation was done based upon metric. Has Scott always used the metric perforation measurement based system?

Has Scott always used the metric perforation measurement based system? My copy of the 1894 Scott International uses the current perf measurement system, number of holes per 2 cm. That's the oldest Scott catalogue I have. Well, OK, I have a reproduction of the first Scott price list from 1867 or whenever it was, and it doesn't show any perforation measurements. Ryan

I did wonder early on in this thread why Stanley Gibbons have always used a metric measurement for perforations, when the UK didn't go metric until 1971.
I found it was invented by Jacques Legrand, a Frenchman so I assume that's why it's metric.
Really glad actually, otherwise it would have been so many perforations per inch.
