I am new here amd happy to be here. My name is Ann.I have been collecting stamps from the age of 8 and continued for decades after that!. I was blessed to travel and live in many countries.This made me collect stamps from all over. One of my most favorite memories was visting my friend's home in Finland. Her dad was a retired Army Officer,he knew I collected stamps and he invited me to see his collection of stamps. It was a room full of albums on shelves, all around the room from the roof to the floor. I had never seen anything like that. Then he placed a massive tray of stamps (a table size) in front of me and he said take whatever you want.What a man!. The year was 1989 and the Berlin wall was still standing but in a few months it would be torn down.I am not sure if this sparked my interest in collecting German stamps but today it is one of my main countries of focus. I have narrowed down my Collection to a few other countries and will be letting go of the rest.
I collect mostly the period of 1850's to 1950's. I still have a lot of empty spots in my Collection and will be looking to fill those,to name a few,Austria,France,India,China,Belgium,Japan,Siam,Finland,Greece,Norway,Australia,UK,Sweden,USA,Argentina,Armenia,Turkey,Egypt..
I look forward to reading the posts on here and contributing.
