One of the problems I had with the White Ace album was that their "complete" album requires you mount se-tenants broken up and connected. And the simplified album only shows one style of each stamp. So, according to an email exchange I had with them a long time ago, if some definitive has 6 different major Scott numbers, but the design is the same, there will only be ONE space in the album for that definitive.
Since I collect all major Scott numbers, that didn't work for me.
This morning I had one of those AHA! moments. What if I bought the White Ace commemorative simplified, and the definitive complete. Since commemoratives don't get assigned multiple major Scott catalog numbers (usually), I may be able to get the best of both worlds with a simplified commemorative and complete definitive supplement.
A stamp store about a half hour from my house sells White Ace albums and supplements, so I took a drive over and bought the 2021 Simplified Commemorative and 2021 Complete Definitive.
And....
Well, the Commemorative Supplement is fine. Except for the Christmas stamps. It wants you to mount the whole booklet. And coil stamps are mounted as coil pairs. Though not ideal, that's something I can live with.
But the definitive supplement, for se-tenant booklet stamps, it wants you mount the whole booklet AND each individual stamp. So, that means I would need to buy 2 booklets.
Does anyone have the 2021 Simplified Regular Stamp issue supplement? I'd love to see some pics of every page of the supplement, so I can compare the two.
I've been using the Contact Us form on their website to ask questions, and I have not gotten any replies since the new owners took over. I wonder if that form is going to some nonexistent mailbox.

I'm thinking maybe I could make my own Regular Issue stamp pages. I check White Ace's website, and they sell blank pages, but ONLY commemorative pages. No blank regular issue pages. Grr....

What the heck is up with White Ace? Their website has a certificate that expired at the end of October. There are clearly 2021 supplements available, since I just bought some from my local stamp store. But they're not available to order from the Washington Press website. It looks like the website hasn't been updated since 2021.

I guess the new owner does not consider that important!

I guess the new owner does not consider that important! Looks that way. The new owners, Alco Distributors, don't have an online presence at all, from what I can see. I found the URL for their website, but the page just times out when I try to go to it.
Kind of a shame. Stamp collecting really has moved from brick and mortar stores to online. My local stamp store does way more business through eBay, than it does from walk in customers. Almost all his walk in customers are people looking to sell sports cards, stamps and coins.
There's a seller on eBay that sells "White Ace Alternative" album pages. According to the seller's bio, he designed the pages when White Ace announced they were closing, and decided to sell them on eBay even after Atco bought White Ace.
The seller's name is eutectic01. I'll leave to you to find them.
Here are some of their pages:

I looked at the listings. The 2020 regular issues on 10 pages is $14 with $7 shipping. It looks like the seller prints on demand since you can chose page numbers.

I think the seller did a good job. They close enough to White Ace pages that they would fit in nicely with the existing albums. But they're not exactly the same, so no easy grounds for a takedown notice.
But I don't see the value here. His prices are almost as much, and in some cases more, than what White Ace charges. When you add in shipping, it's not worth it.

Back from the stamp store again. Picked up the 2021 White Ace Booklet Panes supplement. And this just isn't going to work for the way I collect stamps. There are just way too many duplicates. So, in the 2021 Regular Issue Complete stamps we have: 1. Brush Rabbit, single and coil pair 2. Castillo De San Marcos 3. Colorado Hairstreak Butterfly 4. Barns, coil and se-tenant: connected and broken up into individual stamps 5. Garden Beauty: Booklet Pane AND individual stamps 6. Espresso Drinks: Booklet Pane AND individual stamps
None of these stamps have descriptions
For the 2021 Booklet Pane supplement we have:
1. Garden Beauty Booklet Pane 2. Espresso Drinks Booklet Pane 3. Western Wear Booklet Panes 4. A Visit from St. Nick Booklet Pane 5. Otters in Snow Booklet Pane
All these stamps have stamp descriptions
So, for 2021, this is OK. I don't even need the booklet pane stamp supplement.
But if you go back to a year where USPS released a definitive that has multiple Scott major numbers you run into a duplicate problem. The Regular Issue Complete supplement will not include any of those stamps. You need to buy the booklet pane supplement to do that. And the booklet pane supplement will include ALL the booklet panes for the whole year, even the ones included in the Regular Issue and Commemorative Issue supplements.
My obvious solution to this would be to use the Commemorative supplement and make my own Regular Issue supplement. But White Ace only sells blank US Commemorative pages, not Regular Issue Pages.
It would be nice if the Commemorative and Definitive supplements did not include the booklet panes. The you buy 3 supplements and you're done.
I also don't get why the regular issue supplement doesn't include a description, when the exact same stamp in the booklet pane supplement has a description.
And, no, you obviously can't make me happy.
