Hi I'm Ian Davis from Cromer, Norfolk UK. I returned to collecting after a very long gap just over two years ago beginning with a partially full Yvert & Tellier album I bought from a dealer in Lyon, France (where my sister lives). It came with a mixture of used and mint from early to 1970 in mounts. Since then I have been building up my France collection and recently found this in a bag of mixed 1960s I bought at a local stamp fair. I think its YT154 but I'm not sure. If it is then it's my best so far. This year I also started collecting Czechoslovakia and made a trip to Prague (by rail from London) in order to attend Sberatel. It was a good show and I picked up a bundle of 1930s and 40s philatelic material from an Austrian dealer. I hope to join a variety of conversations to learn more from you and perhaps even share some of my experiences or knowledge. Ian

Thanks stainlessb. I added the stamp to my 1914-18 page. I'm getting there, but finding the others I need is not going to be easy, even at a small fraction of YT prices

Cheers and enjoy this Forum, complicated by "us" - but we do like to go back to threads with Country names once in a while - rarely go back to Welcomes.........LOL ! René

Welcome Ian. Another France collector here. Nice stamps you showed. I'm actually looking for those 1917 and 1922 sets now - have most of them used but missing some key values. I collected Czechoslovakia for a while after a visit to Prague; but haven't touched the material for a while. Too many other priorities. However, I have hundreds of duplicates and, if there is something you are missing, I'd send it along if I have it.

If it is then it's my best so far. Those 1st series post WWI war orphans charities stamps are NICE! I have the later series surcharged with extra values but none of the 1st. Envy and jealousy 🤢
