being rather conservative and unadventurous in my habits, I've only just found this thread ...... wonderful, and reminds me of how sheltered a life I've led. Keep the fun coming.

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

Yesterday I was beaten twice at Chess by my Grandson. I remember encouraging him with tips when he was young. The items below show Alice in real trouble and unable to get to the 8th Square. But along comes the white knight to help her by removing the red knight from the 7th. A battle won, a happy Alice.

What the Stamps of Wonderland may have looked like during Her Majesty's reign. Classical, demure, strange.........

So many cracked plates in Wonderland, I wonder how it happens ? Anyway, it's nice to get all those cracked plate varieties on one page.

One should never look at a person's mail. Or worse, one should never look in a Hare's mailbag. Was the Mad hatter guilty ? Would he do it again. Will the Hare ever go to another Tea Party ? He best get delivering all those letters...........

Strictly a fantasy item from the U.S. Bicentennial period with bogus postmark. No clue on the cover as to who produced the item. I like the"stamp" and I'm watching for a block of four or six for my cinderlla collection. Don StampHinger

Universal Postal Union issues from Wonderland. You did know they were UPU members didn't you. Didn't you ? (excuse the rather blurry image. The stamps are awaiting collection from my Cousin in the UK so the scan here will eventually be replaced by something a bit more friendly on the eyes !!)

Gerald King's depiction of Lundy Island based on the 1916 National Philatelic War Fund issue. Some fantasy fun for this Thursday morning !! These were printed on thinnish card. Each set was numbered and signed by King on the reverse side. Londonbus1

More from Mr. King, this time a very clever little lot of se-tenant pairs proving once and for all that one should never paint the Queen's roses red !! Or it will be "Off with his head" ! Headlessbus1.......never a knave.
