Welcome to the Weekly Mystery Stamp Identification Challenge - improved version 2.0!
The game continues! But the rules have been tweaked;
NEW RULES:
- If you have the answer, send the country and catalog number in a private message to me, philatelia. Please don’t send additional interesting facts and pictures in your private message where they cannot be seen by everyone. Once the answer is posted the following week, you are encouraged to post your additional information, images and cool facts about the mystery stamp here in this thread. Do not post hints or spoilers on the board.
- A team effort prize will be added. If there are enough correct answers to beat previous highest number of answers, then the prize will be awarded to a random Stamp Sleuth who submitted one of the correct answers. If the winner of the prize does not want it, they must choose another member of the forum to receive the prize. They can randomly pick anyone they wish as long as it is a member included on the forum address list. The recipients name will not be posted - their gift will be a fun surprise.
- Sherlocks are encouraged to submit suggestions for upcoming challenges.
- Challenges will vary from easy to moderate to difficult to accommodate all member’s skill level. Please do not send complaints about stamps being too easy or too hard or complain about the mechanics of the game here in this thread,
Thank you for following the rules! Now let’s have fun!

Second chance Mystery stamp!Oh my! This week’s Mystery Stamp Identification Challenge may be a bit TOO elusive. That one was meant for the Cinderella collectors but I think it might be better to stick with catalog listed issues. So let’s do this - the few people who sent in a guess for that super tough stamp will have their name added to the prize drawing for each answer. Sound fair? So here we go - can you identify THIS stamp? Who is that handsome fella and, oh boy, does that high collar look uncomfortable. Can we get 15 answers? Of course we can! Good luck stamp sleuths
