That label was issued by the Canadian Post Office Department about 1955 for its domestic Air Parcel Post Service. It issued a similar label in 1951 when the service was initiated.

I'm curious. How did you determine that the last label was from Zimbabwe? I recognize it from seeing it identified on airmail label collection blogs - this page and this page are examples. I've also seen it tied to covers that have stamps from Zimbabwe on them (this one nabbed from an eBay seller). Ryan

I need help with these. Looks like British registration Labels. Cannot find Marshall-town, or Jacobs anywhere on the Planet. Marshalltown is a dead Post Office in Australia, closed 1979 Any help?

For what it is worth, Jacobs appears in a list of Natal post offices.

Bravo! boys, you nailed it. So the Empire's registration label livery is consistant. I uploaded the Jacobs postmark, and failed to see "Transvaal" just assuming it was GB.

I recently won a small lot from Irishjack at the last Forum auction and left some feedback a few days back. thestampforum.boards.net/thread/2226/anniversary-auction-isle-booklets-cindysThe Interphil booklet [Isle of Man] contained a most unusual etiquette pane that I had not previously seen. In fact I have rarely seen such types of panes with etiquettes as the main content. Because I did not want to explode the booklet, I took a photograph and hope you can see it OK. The pane is rouletted and I have just checked my other copies of this etiquette and some are perforated while others have roulettes. I only have singles and the odd multiple. Note the marginal chevrons which gives the pane such a special look. Londonbus1

and a couple more, recently acquired. The top one, found in a box of stamps, is actually a bright red. The scan doesn't do it justice. The bottom salvaged from an unsalvageable 1965 US cover.

I sent Rodney a small pile of those not too long ago. I'm sure some are "surplus to requirement" and who knows, they may end up finding their way into a giveaway or an auction lot at some point ... Love the perforated Luftpost. Shows some class as opposed to the rouletted ones.

Here's a few more to add to the ever-growing lot on our forum. I came across this label while digging through the Michel Specialized Germany catalogue earlier tonight. It was a sort of license from the Joint Export Import Agency to allow business mail to be sent by air. It was in use for only a short time, from May 1 to Oct 19, 1948. It's listed in the Allied Occupation section, just before the little Blue Flea postal tax stamps. Ryan

Here's a couple of Great Britain Airmail Etiquettes from the 1930's. The Lee Elliot 'Wings' design was the one of the most popular and there were many printings including by Waterlow, Harrisons and also private printings. Those below are from different printings and I have shown them to highlight the missing black from the right hand pair. I believe they come from a sheet of 30.

Never seen one on cover, nor have I seen one mint. I would imagine that only a very few sheets passed the checkers !! It was not cheap.

I spent a bit of time yesterday looking through the hundreds of Air Mail Etiquettes and other Labels one sees on envelopes, parcels and cards. They were all mixed up, in no order at all but it struck me what collecting possibilities there can be with such items.
Plenty of topics if the whole area is too large..........
One could collect just the Air Mail Labels Or Just registration Labels Or by colour Or Country Even shape Or those with just aircraft depicted
There are other topics too. I had a nice couple of hours with them all over the desk.
Here are some I found of interest.......
LUFTPOST
RED, WHITE & BLUE REGISTRATION LABELS
TORPEDO !!
More later, work is calling !!

Going back in time I had about 500 air mail etiquettes - most of which I sold or gave away, although I might have a few somewhere still.
However, I do have a selection of artist produced air-mail labels from an art project which I will try to find and add here
