Lets use this post for those who have re-entries or think they have possible re-entries. I have some experience with varieties, and there are a lot of collectors out there that can help. I have too many re-entries to post here at one time, so i will just post a possible re-entry to start. Let the world post here.
Robert
Here is a Newfoundland Scott 234 that has some interesting markings on it....I have sent this to Ralph at re-entries.com for his expertise...See below.

WERT alanl posted a scan showing something With your great interest and I should add "expertise" in re-entries, could you brief the membership on the true "definition" of a re-entry vs a non re-entry. I could go on Ralph's web site and copy stuff but I would prefer if you would take the time (Thanks!) to give us your version. Well appreciated - so we keep this thread going forever...... René

alanl That is a nice stamp...very interesting so called doubling of the "C"...Most re-entries are attributed to steel engraved postage stamps...Remember it occurs on the SAME position...At least where the re-entry exists...Usually caused by rocking or even rolling the drum to try to get perfect alignment...If you go to Ralph's web site called... His explanation is deeper than mine and different re-entries.
As far as your oddity is concerned, i would guess it is closer to what Ralph would call a "double print"
.I would send it into Ralph for his extreme expertise reply..
He is healing from a broken hip and is swamped with e-mails..Just be patient with his replies.
Also if you go to Ralph's website and look up under say Newfoundland and look for my Scott 72p proof stamp, you wll see what i sent him below. Just one of many re-entries...Worth while going to his site...
BTW alani, i have seen that oddity some where, but cant remember where.
Here is another good example of a major re-entry...This is my Scott 37 small queen.

For Canada’s Imperial Penny Postage, there were a number of re-entries...
PLATE I - has two examples of re-entry on Stamp 3 and Stamp 89. PLATE II- has eleven examples of re-entries on Stamps at sheet location 7, 17, 27, 37, 47, & 9, 19, 29, 39 and stamp 85 along with positions 91, 92. It also has re-entries occurring along the cable in the bottom row of stamps from 91 to 100. PLATE III- has just one re-entry at position 47. PLATE V - This plate has a number of areas, which have been re-entered. There were major re-entries made at positions 29 and 90 and several minor re-entries on stamps 1, 2, 3. 4, 5, 13, 12, 14, 15, 23, 28, 32, 42, 43, 44, 52, 53, 54, 55, 62, 64, 74, 82, 83, 87, 88, 92, 97, 99, & 100.
I earlier shared the 2¢ Imperial Penny Postage: Plate 1A, Position 3 re-entry on this thread, thestampforum.boards.net/post/84981but here is another example of a re-entry from Plate 2A, Position 29 cancelled Qu'Appelle Station, ASSA
There is extensive doubling throughout the stamp, but the most obvious characteristics include the visible line most of the way across running through the middle of “WE HOLD A VASTER EMIRE THAN HAS BEEN”, a number of hatch lines and markings in the "2" of the right value tablet, and significant marks in almost all of the cabling around the entire stamp.

Looking at the Unitrade album, it states there are nearly 100 constant plate varieties on that 6¢ orange Centennial definitive! Keep looking, alanl... there is for certain to be more! It says that doubled C you showed earlier is worth $40 used, $50 mint.

alanl The 6cent"postage" is considered a ""slip print""...It is not a re-entry but was caused by the paper shifting as it is printed causing blurring...Some call it a ""double print"", but it is not that oddity either...true re-entries occur in a specific plate position...Having said that, keep it..It is very cool.
I would be happy having it in my collection.

Looking at the Unitrade album, it states there are nearly 100 constant plate varieties on that 6¢ orange Centennial definitive! Robin Harris (the editor for the Unitrade catalogue) is the author of specialized catalogues for modern Canadian definitives. His book for the Centennial series contains listings, images and prices for these plate varieties. The 6 cent issue has a particularly detailed listing - if I remember correctly, Leopold Beaudet had access to the printing plate (or plate proofs?) at the National Archives for a few denominations, the 6 cent being among them. Some other denominations have very little listed for plate varieties. Harris also states on his website that he is in the process of updating these catalogues (yay for new info, boo that I need to buy everything again!). I don't expect there's too much left to find on the 6 cent as far as varieties are concerned but perhaps more will be listed for some other values. Ryan

I never saw that book on the Centennials. The one I remember was by David Gronbeck-Jones. I had it, and have unfortunately lost it. Out of print, but I'll be looking for that updated Centennials books!
Not much more to find, but over 100 constant varieties? What were they doing? It would take some time to find them all.

The doubling of the C is found in the top right corner on some panes. Perf 10. The doubling of the "stage" is found with right hand straight edge. Perf 12.5x12. I have found 3 copies.

Thanks Robert! Clear, concise & succinct; one of the better definition sets of "re-entry" & "re-touch" that I have read to date :-)
As for the stamp, after posting I noticed the cancel was from Qu'Appelle Station, ASSA and have updated the original posting...

Was looking through some of my blocks and came across this re-entry on my block of 6 Scott 213 stamps. Being a flyspecker enthusiast, I MISSED IT..Shame on me. I need to check my other blocks and singles and sheet now.

Going to need a lot of help from the TSF members. I posted this about a year ago on another forum..They did not take it seriously. Hoping to get help here.
Found a possible constant variety on the Scott 657 "diver stamp". Below is the sheet, 4 panes per sheet..Variety is located on bottom right pain of 8 in POS.4
Below is my block and single stamp with the possible variety.
I call this variety "Diver Goatee"...Below is the diver's goatee.
Below is the red dot on diver's arm..
Below, diver's rear...
Last one i found on the internet..
I have been working on this really hard to prove it as a"Constant Variety"... I have found three so far, but a couple more will solidify the variety. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Here is a very interesting oddity...Found this a few years ago. Canada - Scott 648 "Mercury and Winged Horses" stamps 1974.
I have 100+ stamps and noticed some thing strange on almost all of them. There are portions of the blue area of the stamps that are filed in with a different colour than what is originally printed. Different on each stamp....See pictures below...
