This turned up in an online "Petah Tikva" search, the seller had that in the title of the listing but no explanation. Some confirmation (or the other way) will be greatly appreciated.

Interesting as always, JeffS, and nice post in reply, Stan ( stainlessb), too! Michael ( Londonbus1) is our Cinderella man, and also happens to live in Israel, so I am betting that if anyone here on TSF can tell you about this, he is the guy! That said, as it is almost 2am in Israel right now, I think we will need to give him until tomorrow to respond. Of course, someone else may also be able to comment....

My working page to date for Petah Tikva:
I am looking for a Palestinian piece with stamp and readable postmark, or a cinderella with proven tie-in to Petah Tikva, or similar:

JeffS , The Label in the first post is from the Jewish National Fund Polish Head Office in Warsaw, issued in 1923 and has no connections to Petah Tikva. The skyline shows a view of Jerusalem and "If I forget thee Oh Jerusalem" is inscribed on the selvedge of the booklet panes. The two JNF labels below were issued in 1948 to commemorate 70 years since the founding of Petah Tikva. The shield (top left) shows the same scene as on your Petah Tikva stamps and the Entertainment Tax Revenues. I have included one of three colours of the 1950 Rehovot issue which depicts Citrus fruit in the design. The area, like Petah Tikva has grown over the years and the Orange and Grapefruit trees are now 'out of town' but never far away. More information about the above labels can be found here: thestampforum.boards.net/thread/7916/jewish-national-keren-kayemet-lisrael?page=2Page 2-Petah tikva Page 3- Polish issue Page 4- Rehovot Londonbus1

Londonbus1 - thank you Michael. I really liked the design of that JNF label with the farming scene. The single listed on eBay is rather affordable. I'll send the link via PM should you have an interest. Thank you also for the illustration of the two JNF labels for the 70th year of Petah Tikva. One of those would be a great transition into the 100th anniversary stamp as it nicely shows the growth of industry while keeping agriculture prominent in the distance prior to the predominently urban motif of the 100th anniversary stamp. If you ever get a line on one of them, I hope you will let me know. As to the Rehovot label, I have an example of that exact one. There have been a few sets of three on eBay which I have managed to dodge due to their pricing. In this case a single example of an identical design will do me. And last, I can't believe I haven't, before today, taken notice of your JNF thread. I really enjoyed reading through it over coffee this morning, 2 cups! Thanks again, JeffS
