I can't figure out all this tech stuff.Tried photo bucket but can't get pictures to that site for reasons unknown to me.I'll just type without pictures.New music project has priority right now. Frog you are in the image group, this means you can still post images the old way. so you can still up load just like you did in the past

I have been so tied up at the moment I totally forgot about this. Lets go ahead with it. I will set it all up later today. Maybe move it one week to the 16th? that way lots will have a bit of time to be viewed and also allow a bit of time to allow members to have the required post count.
Remember this is a members auction not a donation auction.

I'd like to put my new Denmark collection project online and be able to update pages as needed. Are there still viable FREE website hosts? I use to use Tripod about 10 years ago, for various things, so I know they use to exist, but are there still any around? Can anyone recommend something? At some point I may go with a paid web hosting, but for now I just don't need it. Spain if you like I could make you a forum under members blogs/sites A few members here post links when they do updates Just give me a shout

I will be creating a tutorial guide over the next little while. I will begin with how to post a link. I will KG5 thread as an example for this exercise. Begin by highlighting the url of the link as shown in the following image. You will need to LEFT click on the url text, once you do this the text will be hightlighted. You will want to to copy the text, to do this RIGHT click on the text and you should se a command to copy. You will then need to click the icon on the reply/create thread This will then open a window You will then paste the url of the link into the text box. please click this to go to kg5 thread

Thanks much for your responses and encouragement! Stamps of the Arabian Peninsula are pretty much at the bottom of my collecting interests. The majority, commonly referred to as "Dunes" are basically Cinderellas with absolutely no official backing. That said there are still many officially produced stamps for the area but I have a hard time getting very excited about them. My Abu Dhabi is very weak but since it is the first country in the A-Z list, I figured I'd show the first stamp issued there. Alphabetically speaking you could say it is #1 of the world. Today the first two pages are from <a href=http://mitch.seymourfamily.com/mward/collection/mideast/aden/aden.html>Aden</a> which was a British Colony up until 1964. Prior to it's own stamps being issued Aden was considered part of British India and used stamps of India. Today Aden is part of Yemen. Visit Antonius-Ra.com I on the road at the moment and only got the iPhone. I will post a tutorial later tonight Mitch.

With being in school fulltime and a heavy study load I asked the mods if anyone wished to step up and help co admin with me. Jeff I.L.S. Stepped up to the plate. So I will still be involved as much as I can but there will be times I will be away from the forum for a few days at a time. Thanks for the help Jeff and hope this crowd don't give you a hard time, they can be a rough crowd to handle I have yet to run into a problem on this forum, a very civil bunch

The date can still be moved about, nothing in stone yet. I just looked at the calendar and thought that date looked good

I like to hold another live auction on Saturday November 16th .
If you want to take part you must have 25 Quality posts and be a member for 1 month.
If you have some lots you like to have auction here you will be allowed up to 5 lots per member.
I will post the rules in the next couple of days.
I also thinking of having the auction in 2 parts the first part will start at 10am New York time and the second part will be at 10pm New York time . That way we will be able to have more lots and vendors can choose which time they would like.

I have open a photobucket account for the forum, 500gb of storage is still very reasonable compare to other options. In time select members will have access to the account and can use it.

Alan are you using photo bucket ?
If so ignore the image button and paste the img code directly into the post and you will have a image.

If you are using image hosting you have no limited. Some forums ask not to post more then 1 image per post, but you may post as many images as you want. Members that have access to add attachment (TSF HOSTING) can post up to 5 images once all combine images are under 1mb.

About a month ago Proboard stop sending out notification emails for each time you had activity on a thread.
The reason behind this is that many email providers were blocking proboard emails as spam. This is why proboards will only send out one email per day to you .
As Ryan said you need to use the participated button.
Many other forums are complaining about this, Nothing I can do I did ask proboards if its possible that we could be excempt and it fell on deaf ears.

I went to both the Main post office and the local sub office ( shoppers ) The main office I walked in and they had none a chap walked in and bought them all every thing they had except the coils So off to the shoppers mail counter and they did not get any in yet. I made another trip today to see if they had them in and No was the answer . I have a feeling the same guy who cleaned out the main office went there as well. So back to the main office and asked if they getting anymore in. I had a chat with the manager a really nice guy, he is known to look over for errors for collectors . After a chat I put in my order so I will have them on Wednesday, he also asked if I would like a poster as well the one on the wall was spoken for but he will get me a couple. Seems these are like hot cakes, I had a look at eBay and plenty on sale.

When you do this you do not need to use the image icon in the tool bar. All you need to do is paste the code text into the post reply area. Make sure you use the IMG code.

On the right hand side you will see a box with different codes, just LEFT click on the IMG code and it will auto copy the code when you make a post just right click and paste the code

I cannot get Photobucket to work. I have my "album" set to private, is that why, do you think? If public, then the viewer can link back to my album, and download all images Is there no way just to just link the image desired? Thanks. Rod just open a second photo bucket account for tsf, you might need to open a new email account. I think you are only allowed one PB account per email account. This is what I have done All my personal photo's and stuff are on another account.
