Here is my contribution - a censored postcard from Cairo to Port Orchard, Washington. No visible date but the stamp, Scott 213 was in use during WW2. I wish I knew more about the censorship marking - “examined 761.”

An unusual destination this. 1898 addressed to APIA Samoa a small island Archipelago with a small German population mainly employed in overseeing Coconut plantations. Gemany maintained a naval presence in Samoan waters at this time due to ongoing disturbances and local Civil wars Machine Mate Rave was serving on the German Man of war "SMS Bussard" ( His German majesty's ship Buzzard )
